Friday Spotlight On... Lynn Rush

Today we're shining the spotlight on NYT and USA Today Bestselling author, Lynn Rush.

New York Times & USA Today Bestselling Author, Lynn Rush (aka Reese Monroe),
hails from the land of 10,000 lakes and cold, snowy winters. She's known to weave a little of that frigid Minnesota climate into her stories, but these days she much prefers desert living. She
resides in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, and when she's not busy writing her next trilogy,
she can be found pounding the pavement, training for her next endurance event.

Get To Know Lynn...

If you could sing one song on The Voice, (or X-Factor or American Idol), what would it be and why?
Oh my, considering I’m practically tone deaf, you’re not gonna want to hear me sing. But if I did…Skillet’s Awake and Alive song is my ultimate favorite. That chick drummer—kicks butt!

You're on a deserted island and uncover an ancient looking box. When you open it, a genie
appears and tells you to make one wish. You can wish for anything--except more wishes or a way off the island. What do you ask for?
I’d ask for my hubby. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere without him.

Most embarrassing teen moment- that you're willing to admit publicly?
I totally ran into a glass wall at an Express Clothing store. Yep, smacked my face right on it. Totally embarrassing.

If you were to trade places with someone in a young adult novel, who would it be and why?
Bella from Twilight for a couple reasons. First—I’d tap into my inner Mandy from Frostbite and kick some ass.  Second—Edward yummy vampire!

What's your go to writing snack? chocolate, potato chips, whiskey?
Right now? Popcorn. But on the sweet side, I live M&Ms and Malted Milk Balls. But not whoppers. No, the massively huge ones from Sprouts. Holy amazing!

Amanda gives a whole new meaning to cool…

Amanda Smith is sick of getting chased from town-to-town. So when she lands in tiny Trifle, Arizona, she hopes it’s her last move for a long time. Despite hating the smallness of the town, she settles in and finds a best friend, and even a boyfriend. Normality at its finest.

But for a girl who can shoot snow from her hands and lift a two-ton truck over her head like a bag of feathers—normal is not an option.

The scientists who murdered her mother come barreling into Amanda’s quiet life. She must decide if she’ll run again or stay and fight. The price of either choice might be her life or the lives of those she’s come to love…
